ViaEuropa · BRIKKS Urban OS

The missing OS for cities

Cities already run on software. It is scattered across silos that do not talk to each other, and every silo has its own login, its own bills and its own support queue. BRIKKS Urban OS is the operating layer that runs open infrastructure as one system: settlement, billing, monitoring and 24/7 operations, for the fiber network and the energy network alike. Developed within the ViaEuropa group and proven at country scale since 1998.

What the OS does

One layer, four jobs

Open infrastructure succeeds when someone runs it well, year after year. These are the four jobs the operating layer does, as one system.

Operations · 24/7

Run the networks

One operations center runs the networks around the clock: monitoring, incidents, field work and lifecycle, with every major vendor’s equipment driven through the same process layer. One global version of the software; every deployment runs it.

Settlement & exchange

Run the market

The marketplace machinery. One agreement connects a property or a city; many providers compete on it from day one. Every service is ordered, metered, billed and settled between all parties automatically.

Trust

Know who may do what

How sure we are of an identity, and what that identity may do, are kept separate and combined per decision. Critical actions require a signature, and every decision is logged, explainable and reproducible afterwards. BankID and eIDAS today, ready for the EU Digital Identity Wallet. This is BrikksID: how we work with identity across the group, built for our own operations, and everything runs on it.

Data

Move the data, not the risk

Open where data should flow: standards-based, revocable sharing contracts. Closed where it should not: sensitive records stay at their source and proofs travel instead of copies, so there is no central honeypot to breach. Runs on premises, in your cloud or on EU sovereign cloud; air-gap capable.

Open at every edge: any provider can sell on it, any vendor can build for it, anyone can license it. The platform grows by adding participants, not by locking them in.
Open by standard

Built on open standards, governed in the open

The stack speaks the same languages as the rest of the world, so a city stays a customer by choice, not by dependence.

Dual purpose

Built for everyday life, ready for the days that test it

The same layer that handles invoices on a quiet Tuesday also knows what matters when conditions turn. Normal and preparedness modes are designed in from the start: local networks keep running on their own, switch to a constrained policy when they must, and come back without drama. Resilience comes from the architecture, not from promises.

Put your city or portfolio on the operating layer

Housing companies and cities get one agreement and a working market. Service providers get distribution from day one. Vendors get an open integration surface. Licensees get the stack. The form reaches the right person for each.
